Well I finally got an appointment with the medical oncologist scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 at 9:00 a.m. in Gainesville.
The good thing is that that is also day 2 of my octreatide scan, so this works out perfectly so that I will only miss two days of work instead of three. So I have scan 1 on Monday the 19th at 10:30 with a four-hour wait and an hour long scan, then the medical oncologist on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and the second part of the scan that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Everything's in the same building, so more convenient!
So hopefully by Wednesday I should know a bit more. They may still need for the scan results to all come back and to have the multi-discipline conference before a finalized treatment plan is devised.
